Judie's Trove
Definition ~ Discovery, Find, Haul, Treasures & Collection
I have been trying to incorporate a platform on my blog site where one can purchase product. But I have found that to be a non-starter. Instead I am going to open the Store associated with this site. It's going to take awhile but I it will be a much better option. Once I get it set up, I will use this section of my blog to highlight new items added and other facts... it's a work in progress... stay with me!
For the past four years I have been volunteering with a local thrift shop. During my time there I have seen some amazing pieces, all crafted on a larger scale than I ever imagined. I've had great fun choosing pieces that spoke to me. Some have even inspired me to try my hand at creating my own designs using various design components. But now, it's time to share some of these pieces which are in need of a new home!
A disclaimer is in order here... the pieces I have chosen for this section are made from materials which are not "precious" meaning the metal used is often a white metal which may include antimony, tin, lead, cadmium, bismuth, and zinc. As an example, a base metal for jewellery needs to be both cast-able & polish-able.
The beads & 'gemstones' are often glass or plastic. White metal pieces are plated to look like silver or gold. Many chains are made of brass or stainless steel and also plated.
