Orchid Cabochon ~ Opal

Opal... one of m all-time favorite stones! I have seen quite a few pieces of carved Opal at the gem show but not as lovely as these three pieces. Opal is difficult to carve as there are layers of color which can be lost in a flash if cut too deeply. This lovely orchid is of Australian opal and has a beautiful array of pinpoints of red, blue and green. Flat on the back for easy setting.
