Rhrino! ~ Opal Carving

Im not really sure why I picked this piece out except I was simply amazed by the quality of the carving and who would even think of taking a piece of opal and turning into a rhinoceros! It is definately armored with thick skin and a lot of attitude! Even has carving on the belly & bottom of feet. Someone had really good eyesight and a lot of patience. Good color in the right light, mostly blues w some red. Opal is difficult to carve as there are layers of color which can be lost in a flash if cut too deeply.
